Chief Operating Officer
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the operational integrity and strategic execution of the Price SMIF. This role ensures that all fund activities—from compliance and reporting to team coordination and process optimization—are executed efficiently and in alignment with the fund’s mission. The COO will manage internal workflows, support cross-functional collaboration among investment teams, and liaise with faculty advisors and external stakeholders to uphold governance standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational and leadership capabilities, demonstrate sound financial acumen, and be adept at managing complex projects in a dynamic, student-led environment.

Student Requirements

Be a current Bachelor of Commerce student in the Asper School of Business.

Register for courses as a full time or part time student during the Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Fall 2026 semesters.

Have a minimum of 60 credit hours completed at the time of application.

Have a minimum GPA of 3.50.

Have completed the following courses with a minimum grade of B+:

FIN 2010 – Introduction to Finance + completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) Course

One additional finance course of your choosing

Enroll and successfully complete FIN 4230 in the Winter 2025 semester.
Skills Required
Experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Responsibilities

Working alongside the Executive Committee to ensure the execution of the strategic vision and success of the PSMIF.

Conducting the recruitment and interview process for all Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst positions with the Executive Committee and Faculty Advisor.

Help create partnership opportunities for the fund to connect with investment professionals to enhance learning and exposure for fund members.

Plan and organize training sessions and workshops throughout the year for team.

Help the Chief Relations Officer with the Annual General Meeting in May.

Attend any board meeting alongside the Chief investment Officer.
